It takes about one week for letters to reach me.

And it will take at least another week for my letters to get to you.

The State of Texas has very strict rules regarding correspondence sent to inmates.

If you want your letter to reach Michael, please adhere to the following guidelines:

You Can Send -

• Personal Letters

• Photos

• Pages Printed from the Internet

• Newspaper/Magazine Clippings

You Can NOT Send -

• Postage Stamps

• Books or magazines

• Food

• Personal Items

Basically, Michael is only allowed to receive printed correspondence.

Anything else will not be delivered and it will NOT be returned to you.

If you are unsure about something you want to send, call the Polunsky Unit at 936-967-8082 for verification.

Letter Guidelines

• Do not use envelopes with a metal clasp.

• Seal the envelope with tape - don't lick it or glue it.

• Make sure it's less than one-quarter of an inch thick.
